MODEST MEMBERSHIP FEES & DUES

With a low initiation fee of $350 and modest annual dues of $500, the Bellevue Yacht Club represents one of the best yacht club values in the Puget Sound area.

We have low overhead -- a fact that many of our members really like. Your membership dues help support the club's active cruising and dockside dinner social events.

With such modest fees and dues, some members think that the Bellevue Yacht Club is basically free because of all the great benefits our members enjoy.

MONTHLY CRUISES

Every month, BYC hosts an organized cruise to one of the many, exciting and beautiful destinations in the Puget Sound and San Juan Islands. Each cruise is hosted by member volunteers and includes fun and games for the entire family. Cruising is at the heart of BYC, and is what makes our club unique. Our cruises are paid for, in part, by the quarterly dues from the club membership.

DOCKSIDE DINNER SOCIALS

On the first Friday of the month from April through October, BYC hosts a potluck Dockside Social at our home port at Newport Yacht Basin. As with our monthly cruises, a member volunteer host helps organize the event. A good time is guaranteed for all members of the family at our Dockside Socials.

OTHER ACTIVITIES, RECIPROCALS, BOATING KNOWLEDGE, AND MORE

Each year, BYC sponsors an annual holiday party where members feast and dance the night away to a live band. Members also arrange impromptu gatherings around other boating and non-boating local events. On summer weekend days, members often raft up in Andrews Bay on Lake Washington. Or, we often see each other at the Port of Kingston outstation or at the many reciprocal docks we enjoy as a club.

Our Port of Kingston outstation serves as a jumping off point for many members starting a longer cruise or just a weekend on the Puget Sound. A short cruise from the Ballard Locks, the Port of Kingston allows many club members to depart late on Friday evenings and get a predictable start in the morning for the day's cruise activities.

BYC also enjoys reciprocal mooring privileges at over 30 yacht clubs around the Puget Sound area. Your monthly membership fee gives you access to great boating destinations.

BYC club members are boating enthusiasts who understand how their boats work and actively help each other work through challenging mechanical and electrical issues. Our bridge leadership is keenly aware that boating has a serious side and safety of members and their guests is always of paramount concern.
